Rooted in the heart of Santa Barbara, our three-story collective brings together curated vintage, modern design, and hand-selected goods designed to elevate everyday living. Behind our massive blue door, each piece is chosen with intention: from fine art that sparks conversation, to curated vintage furniture, decor, and clothing, that carry a sense of history and style.

The Blue Door is more than what we carry—it’s what we built. Founded in 2014 by business partners Carolyn and Brian, they breathed life into the old three-story brick building. We combine our diverse backgrounds and talents to build a one of kind space—Carolyn’s career in interior design and Brian’s expertise in business —to foster a unique shopping experience filled with creativity, and a shared appreciation for thoughtful curation. 

Our vision spans across all three floors, meant to be explored and enjoyed. On our second floor, we have curated a blend of modern pieces with vintage finds, showing you exactly how these different design elements can live beautifully in your own home.
